As a Life Insurance & Annuity Strategist, you will help families leverage cash-value life insurance (IUL, Whole Life) and annuities as powerful, tax-advantaged tools. Our mission is to empower parents to fund their children’s education while shielding their retirement savings, optimizing financial aid eligibility, and building a lasting family legacy.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a mission driven licensed Life Insurance & Annuity Strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping families navigate the complexities of college planning by leveraging life insurance and annuity products. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing tailored financial strategies that help clients pay for college without compromising their long-term retirement goals.
Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation and Needs Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth financial consultations with families to understand their college funding needs, financial situation, and retirement goals.
- Explain complex insurance and annuity concepts clearly and simply, helping clients understand their options.
- Strategy Development:
- Align our proven College Success Roadmap focused on student values, skills and goals with college that has highest lifetime learning potential without depleting family savings, changing lifestyle or going broke.
- Design customized Worry-Free Funding strategies using permanent life insurance products (like whole life and indexed universal life) and annuities
- Show how these assets can potentially be used without negatively impacting financial aid eligibility under the federal methodology.
- Case Implementation and Management:
- Prepare and present detailed financial proposals outlining recommended strategies, costs, and benefits.
- Assist clients in completing applications and other necessary paperwork.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing ongoing service and policy reviews.
- Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to identify and attract new clients who need college planning services.
- Leverage networking, referrals, workshops, and marketing campaigns to build a client base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term loyalty.
- Compliance and Education:
- Ensure all client activities and policy sales comply with state and federal regulations.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and financial aid regulations to provide accurate and relevant information.
- Participate in continuing education to maintain all required licenses and professional certifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensing:Must possess a valid state Life and Health Insurance license.
- Experience:Proven experience in the insurance or financial services industry, with a focus on life insurance and annuity products. Experience in college financial planning is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge:In-depth knowledge of how permanent life insurance and annuities can be used as a tax-advantaged vehicle for funding college.
- Communication Skills:Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Trusted Advisor:Earns clients trust through valuable insights and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Professionalism:High degree of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is often preferred.
Compensation:
This is a commission-based role with potential for bonuses, as well as opportunities for professional growth within the company.
